Overview
OnSite is a world leader in the field of flow survey, having been involved in the inception of flow survey technology back in the 1980's working closely with the Water Research Centre (Wrc). In fact, the procedures developed then went on to form the basis of the current Model Contract Document and the associated codes of practice that are still being used internationally today.
OnSite has one of the largest flow monitor fleets in the world with more than 1000 flow monitors and over 450 rain gauges.
We also have a fleet of ADFM (Acoustic Doppler Flow Meter) Velocity Profilers, which are capable of determining flow velocities to an extremely high level of accuracy. (visit Acoustic Doppler Flow Meter for more details)
Our equipment is used to accurately measure depth of flow and velocity in pipelines, which, when combined with rain gauge information, can be used by water modelling engineers to assess the performance characteristics of a particular pipeline.
OnSite has recently introduced the OnSite Live flow monitoring system, which is likely to revolutionise the way we receive our flow data and more importantly, how we can make better use of the data once we have it. This system can be used for both short and long term flow monitoring projects.
Survey Units
Our Flow Survey vehicles are purpose built and are replaced every 4 years ensuring reliability of service to our clients. All onboard equipment is powered by the vehicle engine.
