Culvert clearance and headwall works

At this location the culvert was blocked and the headwall collapsing and overgrown. As a result water had backed up into the fields and caused localised flooding.

OnSite was called in to carry out an initial investigation then follow up with construction work.

The construction work included clearing the way to the culvert, cleaning out of the culvert to maximise flow and rebuilding the stone headwall. Grading works were then carried out to the incoming stream banks to provide easy access to the culvert and reduce chance of silt running into the stream.
