About OnSite - Health and Safety
In a nutshell…
- Thorough Safety induction for all new staff
- Safety culture reinforced at all levels of management
- Excellent safety record operating in a hazardous industry
Overview
OnSite strives for excellence in everything it does. Health and Safety is paramount in this and it is considered an essential part of management process. We intend to continually improve our health and safety management systems and expect all of our staff, visitors and contractors to actively participate in this process. Following our policies, procedures and guidance, the goal is for our staff to not only meet but exceed the requirements of safety regulations and approved codes of practice.
New starters first taste our safety culture when they attend our Safety induction course. The course is designed to provide awareness in:
- H & S Legislation
- Duties of Employer/Employee
- Understanding Method Statements & Risk Assessments
- Company work ethos and H & S standards
- Manual handling
All new starters are mentored for the next 6 months after which they are invited to a further in-house seminar at which they can provide feedback from their experiences to date and appreciate the impact accidents can have on the company.
The whole management team enthusiastically supports our safety culture. All of our site teams receive regular internal and independent site audits. The H&S Officer and departmental Operations Managers and Supervisors routinely undertake unannounced site visits, and toolbox talks are given on regular basis to discuss current H&S and Environmental issues
